The Casa Batlló, a must-see Art Nouveau site in the Barcelona case study and partner of the Barcelona SPOT team, has recently been named the Best Monument in the World 2021!
The Remarkable Venue Awards 2021 gave Casa Batlló this honor due to its extremely high visitor satisfaction: with more than 7,500 visitors surveyed, the house had an average rating of 9.17 out of 10, and 61% of the visitors surveyed gave it a perfect 10!
The award also highlighted the house's innovations in museology and the visitor experience, including opening an additional 2,000 square meters of visitable space and two immersive art experiences that take visitors inside architect Antoni Gaudí's mind. Casa Batlló joins other well-known cultural spaces like the Vatican Museums (Vatican City), Windsor Castle (UK), and the Marmottan-Monet Museum (Paris) on this year's list of prize-winners.
