From 29 November to 2 December 2022, the final event of the EU-funded H2020 SPOT project was held in Vienna. The aim of the 15-member consortium (13 European countries, the UK and Israel) was to develop a new approach to understanding and managing cultural tourism in disadvantaged and overtouristed areas (http://www.spotprojecth2020.eu/about-the-project).

Partners (http://www.spotprojecth2020.eu/partners) presented their main case study results (http://www.spotprojecth2020.eu/case-studies) at the General Assembly on 30 November. The public presentation of the main outcomes on 1 December was attended by nearly 100 guests (researchers and stakeholders) from the 15 case study areas. During the final event, partners presented good practices and recommendations for the development of cultural tourism in Europe, practices and policies of cultural tourism in Europe and challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
