SPOT-IT TOOL

SPOT-IT is an innovative GIS-based tool accessible to all stakeholders, investors, government and municipal officials and the general public. The main goal of the tool is to provide decision support mechanisms for the development of cultural heritage attractions/sites in deprived remote and peripheral areas interested in establishing new, or developing existing cultural tourism sites to strengthen economic and social sustainability. The tool also seeks to indicate areas of additional development or improved sustainability in several urban areas that have historically suffered from over-tourism.
